Last night I matched with a guy and we had barely exchanged a few messages, like we hadn’t even gotten past the basic small talk yet. Out of nowhere he goes, “you’re really cute btw.” I said thanks, That was it.
And honestly, the weird part wasn’t even that he stopped replying. It just felt… not real. Like we hadn’t even had a conversation yet, but somehow everything was already decided based on how I look. It made me realize how often this happens. Guy say they’re on these apps to “get to know someone,” but most interactions feel like quick reactions to photos. Is there a better way to meet people that doesn’t start with swiping on faces? Like meeting through interests, thoughts, or even just content people share?
